the SUNS Birthday Bash for Wayne Thunder!

The SUNS throw a birthday bash rock concert for drummer Wayne Thunder at the Public Bar (238 Victoria St, North Melbourne) on Saturday 20 November with extra special guests Sounds Like Chicken! Doors Open 9pm. $6 Entry. The SUNS will also be launching their official sexy button badge at the show so be there early cos they're only limited to the first 100 rockers!

"I want everyone to come down early to get wasted and have some serious fun in the pit with me and one of my favorite bands Sounds Like Chicken. Most of you who know me know that I'm the hardest SUN to impress. And I guarantee that it will be one bloody tremendous night of helter-skelter pirate ska and riotous rock 'n' roll with Sounds Like Chicken and The SUNS. Not only that, I'll be giving out our sexy new button badges as birthday presents! You might just get your hands on one or me! See ya all on Saturday. ARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!" exclaimed Wayne Thunder.

Following the massive birthday bash, The SUNS will be performing a full-length set for an all ages instore performance on Sunday 21 November at Cumbersome Records (93 Johnston St, Collingwood) at 4pm. Free Entry. The SUNS have already set aside a limited number of badges for this special show!

"Sunday's show at Cumbersome is going to be our first instore performance in Australia. It's gonna be nostalgic! Our last instore was three years ago in da tropical island of Singapura. We caused such a riot at Tower Records that our fans started moshing in the record store and ended up destorying the Backstreet Boys & Boyzone CD shelf! But don't expect none of that boyband crap onsale at Cumbersome cos they ARE Melbourne's dirtiest rock record store! You'll find all the underground stuff and loads of rarities, collectables & t-shirts. The store also comes complete with staff that look like ACDC roadies! It's also gonna be an all ages event and we will be giving out badges to our loyal under-18 fans that turn up," said JBoss.

On Thursday 18 November, The SUNS support their alternative rocker mates Walken at their Blue Sky video launch at The Eveyln (351 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy). The glamourous night will also feature Meebar & Shadowplay as supports. Doors Open 8pm. The SunS Showtime 9pm. $8 entry.

"Walken are a great band. Wayne and I really like them cos they've got that REM vibe and we love REM. Their lead singer Heath is a great frontman, full of cool rock poses and charisma. Their single Blue Sky, was recently voted No. 1 on the SYNFM Hoist Charts. It's an awesome song and I can't wait to see da video cos I heard they were some hot chicks in it," said Sunny.

In other news, The SUNS invite you to check out their mates Aaron Stevenson, Jess & Az who will performing a debut acoustic set of original alternative rock tunes this Friday 19 November at the Mountain View (186 Springvale Rd, Glen Waverly) at 830pm. $6 entry. $4 with entry cards available from the band.
