The
Melbourne CBD will be set ablaze when The Suns ignite the Greenroom (33
Elizabeth St) this Thursday 12 Aug 9pm No cover & The Arthouse (616
Elizabeth St) this Sunday 15 Aug 9.30pm $5.
Located in the heart of the city, the two shows will cater for all city
fans who frequently have to rush home after The Suns set.
"Our city fans usually rush home after our set because they need
to catch the public transport. But these two shows are conviniently located
in da heart of the city so they can stay and party with us after the show!
It's our first gig at Greenroom and we're gonna be be rockin' with those
crazy cunt rock chicks from PussyXXX.
We're also playing with Chasing
Butterfly at the Arthouse. These hardworking blokes are making
the trip down all the way from Geelong! They've got a strong Weezer influence
and we're looking forward to jammin' with them," said San Singer.
Fans will be delighted to know that The Suns EP which sold out in an hour
after its release at the now legendary ESPY gig is back in stock. Priced
at $5, The Suns Rock EP features the same five rockin' tracks in
the new order; Cecelia, Rock With You, Put Your Arms, B4 U Go &
You Curry with new artwork (see right) designed by MrFrumpy
and a souped up sound to rock your speakers even harder.
"We
wanted to acknowledge the loyalty of The Suns family who turned up to
support us at the Espy. And we're doing that by changing the artwork in
the second print of our debut EP. This means that those who bought our
EP at the ESPY are one of the 100 in the world who have our first EP!
We will never be reprinting the original artwork. When we make
it, they can tell everyone else that they were with the band from the
start!" explained Wayne Thunder.
The
Suns have also unveiled their band mascot, Spike (see right). Making
his debut appearance on The Suns Rock EP Cover, Spike was
designed by MrFrumpy
and inspired by a former bartender at Planet Cafe.
"Spike was actually the fella who gave us our first gig in Melbourne
at Planet Cafe in Febuary. We'll always be grateful to him for that! He's
also a very funny character and some of his stories are legendary. It
was only befitting that our band mascot be named after him," explained
Justin.
In other news, The Suns have ask you to help decide the color their first
T-Shirt in the new merchandise section. You can
still view the photos of the legendary Espy gig
and learn The Suns Rock EP lyrics
so that you can sing along at the shows. As always, The Suns warmly welcome
you into their fanclub in da family page.
