The Suns will be returning to rock Laundry (50 Johnston St, Fitzroy) next Friday, 16 July at 11 pm. No Cover.

The return gig comes soon after The Suns' previous performance at Laundry impressed the mangement who also invited The Suns to perform at a private function last Sunday.

"We have never had a band upstairs that could clear the entire bar on the ground floor while they were performing. All our regulars at the bar enjoyed The Suns so much that they kept asking us to bring them back," said Trudy, bookings manager of Laundry.

The Suns will also be returning to Finbars (329 New St, Brighton) next Thursday 15 July 9pm to play at close friend of The Suns, Tim Nelthorpes's 21st birthday party.

"I consider The Suns my close friends and I think they're the best band in Melbourne at the moment. I find it a privilege that such a great band is willing to play my 21st and they're gonna rock Finbars for all my bootiful friends! I would like to invite anyone who loves The Suns to come along and share my birthday with me. It's a blast from the past party so dress in your finest gear. Come along and rock with The Suns!" said Tim.

Fans will be excited to know that The Suns have finished recording the songs for their new E.P. and are now busy mixing the tracks. The E.P. has been scheduled for a late July release and will feature the following tracks - Before You Go, Cecelia, Put Your Arms Around Each Other, You Curry and Rock With Ya.

"The recording process was fun, frustrating and humbling all at the same time. You realise how much more you have to improve but also, you get a great satisfaction out of making a recording that we can all be happy and excited about," said Wayne.

In other news, The Suns have released the crazy rock'n'punk'reggae track Kita Nak Seks for mp3 download in the songs page. But don't get so turned on humpin' and grindin' to da beats that ya forget to share some love in The Suns fanclub. You can read more about The Suns recording this week in Wayne's entry in the band diary.
